Hello! I love TRPG takenouchi!

The other day, on Saturday, March 13, 2021, we held a trial " TRPG experience meeting " along with the board game experience meeting of the book Bodo, which is being held at Sanjo City Library !


The system I used

The system we prepared is the douujin system "Minna de Dungeon RPG" created by "Yugakugei" who is strong in the education field !


About the response of the day

Since you can play in a short time, I tried to divide the time zone into a "three-part system".
And what!
Even though it was held for the first time on the day, players gathered in all three parts to stand up (session was established)! 　Thank you!

In the first part, "5 people" with more than 4 players gathered, and we responded on a first-come, first-served basis. (Players who couldn't participate seemed to have something to do, so they left the venue and came to Part 3 later.)

Of the four participants, three were "TRPG beginners" !

"I've always wanted to play with TRPG, but I didn't know how to get started."
"I'm sure there are many people like that, so I think there is potential demand for TRPG experience sessions."

I was able to hear such a voice.


In the second part, my TRPG friends brought me two beginner friends who wanted to play with TRPG. It is a stand with 3 players.

It seems that the two beginners have touched the fantasy TRPG twice, but my friends told me in advance, "I haven't had time to play, so maybe I forgot the feeling of playing?" I did.

When you actually played it, it seemed that you were satisfied with the rules for creating characters, the rules for capturing dungeons, and the relatively simple and easy-to-understand "Dungeon RPG for Everyone"!


The third part was a stand with two players.
The recommended number of players for "Minna de Dungeon RPG" was "from 3 players", so we added some unique rules to make the session easier to play and adjusted the difficulty level .

This is also the participation of two TRPG beginners.
(One of them was a player who had visited the TRPG party sponsored by the TRPG circle to which I belong several times! Thank you again!)

I talked about a lot of other things, but I was able to hear the voice saying , "I want to play in an online session, so I'd be happy if I had the opportunity to learn how to play ."

As an aside, I usually hold online sessions (sessions to play using calling apps and online session websites and web tools), so the TRPG circle's activities are also "online session experience sessions". I wondered if it would be an ant to try this.


In addition, we were able to hear from the participants,
"It is a heavy burden to
visit Niigata City and Nagaoka City. It is very helpful to have the opportunity to play TRPG in the central area of ​​the prefecture." I see ... There is also demand in the central area of ​​the prefecture ...!

I made advance notices for each of the accounts where I am active as a hobby / individual in TRPG and the account of Mr. Bodo.

In the tweet of Mr. Bodo, when comparing the tweets of "Board game experience meeting" and "TRPG experience meeting", he told me that " there were more impressions of TRPG experience meeting ".

The attention of TRPG ... it's amazing ...!



About future activities and developments

This time it was a trial implementation, so the first time was a great success and we were thrilled to respond.

I would be happy if we could continue to collaborate with Sanjo City Library and Library Bodo to carry out the activities of the "TRPG Experience Meeting".

I would also be happy if the Sanjo City Library could also donate a TRPG rulebook .

It would be ideal if players who were interested in TRPG and thought "I want to touch other systems!" Can use the library as it is ...!

For the first implementation, we prepared a douujin system "Minna de Dungeon RPG", but there may be demand for other famous and popular systems. How far can we meet such needs ... Is it okay to keep the recruitment form as "Same-day participation reception" ... Is it a reservation system? ... However, if it is a reservation system, the hurdles for participation will rise ... etc. It was a big harvest that I could see the problems to be considered.

Personally, I am good at "corresponding to TRPG inexperienced people and beginners" on Twitter, so I may hold an experience meeting for such players.
